Replication Data for: Reduced human disturbance increases diurnal activity in wolves Description: These data files concern the camera trap data that were collected in the study area Bory Tucholskie as part of NCN grant nr. 2021/41/B/NZ8/00015 and were included as one of the 9 study areas in the study by Smith et al. 2024. The data files show the number of recorder species, including human activities from 48 locations in the study area Bory Tucholskie based on 2930 trap nights. The study period was from August to September 2022 with the exact start and end date of each camera trap deployment indicated in the file. Camera traps were placed on forest roads at c. 1m height attached to trees facing the forest roads. Camera traps were on average between 3 and 5 m away from roads. Batteries of camera traps were weekly checked and SD cards replaced. Any malfunctioning of the camera traps during the study period have been reported in the data files. There are two files: - BT22_effortTable_2: - BT22_recordTable: containing all records of human activities and all animal species recorded. These records are filtered to a 30-min independent event interval, meaning that all records within 30 minutes have been grouped to create one visitation event. For vehicles the an independent event interval of 1 min was used.
