This is the dataset used in our models and correlation matrix. The variables provided are: • filename: the name of the recording in our database • index: the acoustic index (either “bioacoustic_index” or “acoustic_complexity”) • value: the calculation outcome of the acoustic index • sampling.rate: the sampling rate of the recording • fft_w: the FFT window size used for the calculation • settings: the frequency range limitation (either: “0.5-10 kHz” or “Default”; the latter means 0 kHz - Nyquist frequency and 2-8 kHz for the ACI and BI, respectively) • date_time: the date and time at the start of the recording • plotID: the id of the exact point in the forest where the recording comes from • habitat: the habitat where the recording was made (i.e. LIV: spruce stands unaffected by bark-beetle, DEAD: spruce stands affected by bark-beetle and left for natural regeneration, LOG: spruce stands affected by bark-beetle and salvage-logged, BG: background forest stands; detailed description of habitats and the sample size given in S1.1) • richness: the number of audible bird species in each one-minute recording
